Coffee name: Paula Concha 20 Brix which is named after Paula Concha, the owner of the farm and project, as well as the Brix or sugar level in the cherries they measure before picking and processing  the beans.

SANTA ELENA farm, located in Ciudad Bolivar, Antioquia, believes in the power of academic application of best practices for a long term sustainable production of high quality and consistent products. They work by the model of a “cherry center” where their neighbors deliver the cherries picked and over there they process them by their high quality standards. 

Paula and her husband Samuel, are the owners of this coffee production in this 50 hectares farm. They both have professional education and always have been interested in the coffee market. CAFÉ ROLDÁN is their roasted coffee brand. Before managing her farm and roasted coffee brand, Paula was a branch manager at Bancolombia, Colombia’s largest bank. 

This farm operates under the premise of triple sustainability. They have innovated in coffee drying with controlled atmosphere processes for their honey and natural coffee processes, developing one of the most automated and low environmental impact driers. They have also worked in fermentation innovations during the drying process  that have allowed them the production of their Natural 20 Brix, the one we call Paula Concha 20 Brix. 

Samuel has been a leader in research fields and has worked closely with governmental institutions like COLCIENCIAS and RUTA N seeking to add science and technological practices to Colombian agriculture. Together they have the dream of transforming the coffee culture practices in SANTA ELENA farm.
